Rick L. Scope, 67, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017 at his home. He was born on March 28, 1949, in South Bend to the late Arthur and Goldie (Ewing) Scope. Rick was a tooling engineer and mold maker for many years. He retired in 2010, to work alongside his brother, Ron. Rick is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Scope of South Bend, Indiana; two grandchildren, Moranda and Mariah Fugate of South Bend; two brothers, Ronald Scope of South Bend, Indiana and Robert (Dianne) Scope of Kernersville, North Carolina; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation for will be from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2017, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Sumption Prairie Cemetery. Rick enjoyed golfing, snowmobiling, restoring antiques, and friendly debates with his brother, Ron. Rick was a blessing to every life he touched. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rick's honor to the charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be left at www.kaniewski.com.
