Father Haycock was one of the sweetest, kindest and most thoughtful people I knew. My family and I enjoyed going to his Mass for many years at St. Lawrence. Sending thoughts and prayers to his family and friends, may he Rest In Peace.

Father Haycock was so instrumental to our family when our son 15 year old son was diagnosed with cancer. He came to the hospital to give him Last Rites.

Sam had some good days too. Father Haycock took Sam and my husband Dave golfing and Father insisted on paying for everyone.

Father Haycock came to our home when Sam wasn't doing well to console our family and he said mass for Sam at his funeral at St. Lawrence.

We have the utmost respect and love for him.

Always liked his homilies and sense of humor. A good servant who will be remembered fondly.

Fr. Haycock was such a kind and gentle priest. He was very dear to our family, both at Cardinal Mooney and St. Lawrence. He Baptized some of my grandbabes and was there for my family and me when my late husband was terminally ill. Rest in peace, dear one.

So sorry to hear about Father Haycock's passing. He was the chaplain at Cardinal Mooney High School for many years and a close friend of my mother, Rose Piedici, a teacher at the school for many years. Father was the celebrant at the Memorial masses for both of my parents. My condolences to his family.

My sympathy to Fr. Don's family and friends. I was first assigned after ordination to St. Lawrence in Greece in 1966. where he he helped out on weekends. We were good friends thereafter. He was a good model for me as I began ministry. We often visited him at Cardinal Mooney High School staffed by the Holy Cross Brothers and priests.
It's been a number of years since I have seen him. Thankful for the memories, I look forward to meeting him in glory. (but not too soon as the Irish say. Fr. Bill Michatek Webster and Wolcott, NY
